Maintenance

CMMS: computerised maintenance management

Without usable history, maintenance stays reactive. It then costs twice: in parts and in downtime.

A CMMS (computerised maintenance management system) centralises the equipment register, preventive maintenance plans, work requests and orders, spare parts and their costs. Deployed on Odoo it shares one database with inventory, purchasing and accounting: a part consumed on a job leaves stock and is charged to the asset's cost with no double entry. ARTEC INT configures the register, the maintenance schedules and the indicators, then trains the technical teams for daily use.

No commitment — you leave with an order of magnitude.

What the solution covers

Structured equipment register

Asset hierarchy, location, criticality, warranties, technical documentation and full history attached to each machine.

Preventive and corrective

Maintenance plans triggered by calendar or usage counter, work requests, work orders, technician assignment and completion tracking.

Spare parts

Parts stock linked to purchasing: consumption charged to the job, reorder thresholds and visibility on critical spares.

Costs and indicators

Maintenance cost per asset, downtime, preventive ratio, failure history — what you need to decide between repairing and replacing.

Scope

Concretely, you get

  • Equipment register with full history per machine
  • Preventive maintenance triggered by date or counter
  • Work requests accessible from a phone
  • Spare parts linked to inventory and purchasing
  • Maintenance cost and downtime per asset
  • Training for technical teams on daily use

Frequently asked questions

Do we need to be on Odoo already to deploy the CMMS?

No, but that's where the gain is clearest: linked to inventory and purchasing, the CMMS charges consumed parts automatically and gives you a real maintenance cost. Deployed on its own it still structures the register and the preventive plan, with an interface to your existing system.

Our technicians aren't sitting at a computer.

That's the norm, and it's accounted for: requests and job reports are done from a phone or tablet. A CMMS that assumes a desk doesn't get fed, and a CMMS that isn't fed is worthless.

Can our failure history be migrated?

Yes where it exists in usable form. If it's on paper we'll tell you plainly: better to start clean and build history from now on than to spend weeks entering an approximate past.

Structure maintenance before buying more parts

A conversation to review your asset register, your preventive ratio and what a CMMS would change in downtime costs.

No commitment — you leave with an order of magnitude.
